NGO CSW/NY September Monthly Meeting: Making Connections — CSW71, the 2030 Agenda and What Comes Next

On 15 September, NGO CSW/NY will hold the first monthly meeting of its 2026–2027 season, marking the launch of civil society engagement in preparation for the 71st session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW71). The programme will provide an overview of this year’s roadmap and the priority themes of the upcoming session.

The September meeting, entitled “Making Connections: CSW71, the 2030 Agenda and What Comes Next,” will explore the links between the CSW71 agenda and the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, as well as future directions for international advocacy on women’s rights and gender equality.

NGO CSW/NY is the NGO Committee on the Status of Women, New York, a coalition of civil society organisations advocating for the rights, empowerment and equality of women and girls worldwide. The Committee engages civil society in the processes of the UN Commission on the Status of Women and convenes the annual NGO CSW Forum.

The meeting will take place on 15 September, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM EDT, corresponding to 18:00–19:30 Vilnius time. Participation is online via Zoom.
