Olga Karach earned the highest trust among the followers of the channel “Belarusitis”
Olga Karach, human rights defender and Director of the Belarusian human rights and peace organisation “Our House,” received a 51% trust rating among followers of the Telegram channel “Belarusitis ” which can also be rendered as “Cerebral Belarus”.
This channel is one of the main outlets within Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s propaganda network, known for spreading misleading information and regularly attacking independent civil society actors whom Tsikhanouskaya views as potential rivals.
The channel, which has 45,310 subscribers, once ran a poll, got the results it wanted, and moved on – leaving the poll open. It kept circulating in Telegram, with new users discovering and voting in it over time, reflecting the changing realities.
Despite the negative informational environment, the largest share of respondents – 51% – indicated that they trust Olga Karach the most. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya received a trust rating of only 18%.
The second-highest trust level – 20% – went to the Kalinouski Regiment, Belarusian fighters serving on Ukraine’s side.
This information is relevant for understanding the dynamics within the Belarusian diaspora.
